I have built a list of completed Haynesville/Bossier Shale wells in Texas. On the list I have provided initial production data (where available) and the most recent production data for each well.
The basic list of wells comes from production data from the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) for the North Carthage, Waskom, Bossierville, Beckville, East Carthage and Center Fields. In some cases, some of the older wells are classified by other sources as Cotton Valley rather than Haynesville/Bossier Shale. I have included most of these wells and will weed them out over time if appropriate.
The initial production data comes from a myriad of sources, including regional Texas newspapers and various forms of company information. Since it is not reported by a single source, I do not consider it as reliable as the Louisiana initial production data.
All of the production data comes from the TRRC and is current through November 2009, the most recent month available. Some of the production data stops and starts, especially for some of the older wells and the wells that may actually be Cotton Valley wells, but for the most recent H/B wells, it is pretty good.
The list is broken into two groups, first, newer completions where I have found initial production data but are too new for production data (or for some reason don't have production data) and older wells for which there is valid production data (the bulk of the list).
I will keep the new completions updated regularly but will only update the production data every couple of months because it can be a pain in the a**.
The data is sorted by daily production for the main list and initial production rates for the more recent wells.
